Alright alright, simmer down everyone! The much anticipate album of Ms. Nicki Minaj has arrived

I got a chance to listen to the entire album Friday via Facebook and in my opinion it is a good album and definitely worth the buy from 9.99 (shout out to Target lol) all the way to about 25 for the deluxe addtion(s) that contain exclusive bonus tracks (the basic has 15? tracks, while others contain 17 or 18, in other words the bonus tracks will be different songs and amounts of songs depending on which CD you buy), t-shirts or bracelets. There are a few songs on the album that i am a wee bit ify on but I think I just need to give them another listen. Overall this album (for me) certainly has the potential to be added to the list of S2F (Start to finish/no skip) Albums! (for a complete list of my S2F albums CLICK HERE )

So all you Kens and Barbz (as Nicki would say) out there go and support the only female rap artist really holding it down while everybody else is on hiatus!!

Remember people this is only one opinion, granted it is mine and I am always right =], dont take my word for it, you should listen and see for yourself! Nobody's opinion is universal; RESPECT MY OPINION AND I WILL RESPECT YOURS!

I tried to find the official video for Nicki Minaj's Your Love buuuut it was basically no where to be found on youtube but I'm quite sure its on 106 & Park or you can check out Mtv jams or Mtv hits and it will come on sooner or later anyway.... what a difference in the songs although i dont think nicki's is a remake she just sampled the beat but still its a far leap from that song and that video for the original.... STRANGE! lol

Ugh You Listen To THAT?!

Man I hate it when people criticize me for listening to music other than Hip Hop or R&B. Like just because I am black I'm not allowed to listen to other genres wth, I can't help it that I am a diverse person and have a versatile range of music. My Itunes library consist of Country music, Classical, Punk, Pop, Blues, House as well as Rap, R&B and everything in between....

It bugs me when people talk shit about me listening to underground music or music of artist who are known but not super popular yet. I am very open to new music that I have never heard before I give the song and artist a complete chance before I write them off, I won't say, "Oh I never heard of this person before so I'm not going to listen or they're probably wack", or "This isn't an R&B or Hip Hop song so I know I'm not going to like it." That's not fair to the artist and its not fair to me because I could really be missing out on some really good music. And if you know me, you know I LOVE music and I cant/wont pass up a good thing....

Anyway I'm thinking of all this because I have a friend that is always talking shit about the type of music I listen to and the sad part about it is this person claims to be a diverse and open minded person. But the fact that this person automatically wants to turn the song or says that they don't like it only after 2 seconds of the song has played, would suggest otherwise....

I guess my main thing is if I don't judge you negatively for the variety or lack of variety of music you listen, then don't judge me. We are not all the same and we are going to have different likes and dislikes but that's part of what makes having friends fun because you get to learn new things from each other and in the process you learn about yourself....

Bottom Line: Open Your Mind and Close Your Mouth

Ok I finally got the chance to listen to Drakes new album (that came out of June 15th i believe)... entitled Thank Me Later (Shoutout to SPRINGTIME for letting me burn that=]) and I must say Thank You Drizzy!...

First I heard tons of positive reviews about the album from friends and on twitter, facebook and myspace (yes, myspace) and then I heard nothing but negative reviews so I said enough is enough and I had to hear it for myself before I could give a valid opinion....

And the verdict is in I love the whole entire album but as of now my fav fav tracks are Fancy and Shut It Down... but like I said I dig the whole album I can definitely add it to my list of albums I listen to from start to finish (no skips) which include

While I am a fan of Nicki Minaj I will most definitely give props to those who deserve it and the girl (Keys) can spit....Buuuuuut I wouldnt necessarily say she goes harder than Nicki Minaj, maybe just as hard? But why go after Nicki if you feel shes so weak and she can't rap? Because you only go after the people that you feel are the BEST, the people that you feel are on top! You're not going to waste your time on people you honestly feel are really weak, your better than that. If Jay-Z and Soulja Boy had beef (for whatever reason) I highly doubt you're gonna hear a diss track directed at Soulja Boy from Jay like really, he wouldn't be worth the time. You are going to go after the person you feel is the very best because if you successfully knock them off the thrown then you're going to take their spot. Makes sense dont it. I mean am I right or am I right. I can't accurately judge Keys 100% because I have yet to hear her spit something not aimed directly at Nicki Minaj.
